Paraguay

In February, 2010 C. Hedge traveled to Paraguay with director Carl Byker and filmmaker Samantha Grant
to visit Fundacion Paraguaya in the Mbaracayu Forest Biosphere Reserve in northeastern Paraguay.
The purpose was to begin a film documenting the students of an all girl school. The students are from poor farming families and indigenous communities in the forest reserve where agricultural education is rarely available, especially to girls.
The film will follow these students through the year. An HD video camera and a binaural digital audio recorder will be left with them. They will help to create the film by themselves. At the end of the year, a return trip will be made to collect the results.
The trip will be hosted by social entrepaneur Martin Burt, founder of the school and many projects with Fundacion Paraguaya.
